Fort Lauderdale, FL (October 9, 2017) – Get your tiara ready for the fifth annual Queen for a Day luncheon benefitting Victory Living Programs. Taking place on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club (415 Country Club Circle, Plantation, FL 33317), this fun-filled afternoon will raise funds to directly benefit individuals with disabilities in Broward County.
The afternoon festivities will include a three-course lunch, champagne courtesy of Breakthru Beverage, a table-decorating contest, white elephant raffle and the highly anticipated Queen for a Day pageant, hosted by MC Nicolette from Lips Fort Lauderdale. All guests are encouraged to dress to impress in their most royal attire, command attention and seize the crown as they strut down the runway for a chance to win the 2017 “Queen for a Day” title.
“The Queen for a Day luncheon has become one of our most anticipated events of the year,” said Bobbi Wigand, Executive Director of Victory Living Programs. “We thank the wonderful AngeLs for Victory auxiliary fundraising group, our sponsors and the staff at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club for their endless support each year in putting on this royal affair.”
Proceeds from the event will help support Victory Living’s Social and Recreational Program. “Hosting events such as the Queen for a Day luncheon helps Victory Living Programs continue to work toward achieving its mission,” Wigand said. “Our main goal is to help individuals with disabilities live, work and play more independently.”
