Think you have enough wit to solve a puzzle while locked in a room as the clock quickly ticks? Fort Lauderdale’s leading escape rooms company, Think Escape Rooms, has just launched their newest room, The Study, to help you test your puzzle solving skills.

“The Study is our most difficult room to-date,” says Greg Kormendi, co-founder of QQuest Escape Games in Pompano Beach and Think Escape Rooms, in Fort Lauderdale. “The test of any well crafted escape room, is the twists and turns in the story. With The Study, nothing is as it seems.”

The premise of The Study concerns a rag-doll killer, in which recruits must do some serious detective work to help capture him – all in good fun. Comprised of a series of rooms peppered with clues, participants work together following a trail of mystery – figuring out combinations to locks, solving riddles with UV lighting – amid rooms fully adorned with wall-hangings, bookcases, furnishing and props.

“We construct all of our rooms from scratch – so each element is completely authentic,” says Kormendi. “Our authentic approach attracts many different types of customers, from birthday celebrations, to bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate teams and everything in between.”

To-date companies such as Citrix, Toyota, Sun Trolley, Royal Caribbean, Fresh Point, Macys, American Express and the City of Coconut Creek have participated in corporate team building experiences at Think Escape Games.

“For the past two summers Citrix has taken our Fort Lauderdale interns to Think Escape Games as a team building activity,” says Faby Moreu, Recruiting Coordinator, University Relations Representative at Citrix. “They absolutely enjoy it! Being locked in a room for one hour trying to solve a murder mystery is a great way for everyone to learn how to communicate with each other, solve problems under pressure in a fun environment and all while meeting others on their team.”

The Study is the 14th room Kormendi and co-founder Shannon Best have constructed and launched in South Florida. Kormendi and Shannon also own QQuest Escape Games in Pompano Beach and “South Beach Room Escape” in Miami Beach.
